Global buyers comparing LED bulb manufacturers in China will find many candidates, but they do not all serve the same type of buyer. Some focus on private-label bulb programs, some operate broad branded-lighting businesses, and others combine lighting with connected-device or component manufacturing.
The following companies form a non-ranked sourcing shortlist. They are compared by company type, manufacturing footprint, LED bulb range, public OEM/ODM status, likely buyer fit and the questions that still require confirmation. Inclusion is not an endorsement or an indication of relative strength.
Publisher disclosure: New Lights publishes this article and is also included in the shortlist under the same criteria. Its inclusion should not be interpreted as an independent ranking or award.

1. LEEDARSON
LEEDARSON is a technology and manufacturing group whose business extends beyond lighting into sensors, controls, cameras and other connected devices. Its corporate profile identifies Xiamen as its headquarters and a major R&D location, with manufacturing bases in Zhangzhou, China, and Chachoengsao, Thailand. Additional R&D activities are described in Shenzhen and Xi’an.
For LED bulb buyers, the relevant distinction is that LEEDARSON works with connected and non-connected light sources. This makes it a potential fit for projects involving wireless protocols, smart-home integration or a wider IoT system, rather than only conventional private-label bulbs.
The company publicly describes business services covering product design, manufacturing, testing, certification support, packaging and delivery. Buyers should not, however, assume that every product platform is available for unrestricted private labeling.
Before issuing an RFQ, confirm the supported communication protocol, app and cloud responsibilities, firmware-maintenance terms, data-security requirements and target-market documentation. The buyer should also identify the manufacturing plant assigned to the project and match any certification evidence to the exact product, applicant and production location.
2. Zhejiang Klite Lighting Holdings
Zhejiang Klite Lighting Holdings Co., Ltd. is an LED lighting manufacturer with a clearer publicly stated ODM position than many large branded-lighting companies. Its Messe Frankfurt exhibitor profile describes Klite as a professional LED lighting ODM supplier offering LED bulbs, tubes, luminaires and drivers.
Public product documentation identifies a company address in Haining, Zhejiang. Signify has also described a Jiujiang, Jiangxi light-source and luminaire factory operated by its joint-venture company, Zhejiang Klite Lighting Holdings. That factory was presented as producing branded LED lighting products for Chinese and international markets.
Klite may therefore be relevant to buyers seeking structured ODM development, established product platforms or manufacturing for larger branded programs. Its publicly shown range includes conventional and filament bulbs, but buyers should request a current model list instead of relying on an exhibition summary.
The main verification issue is project allocation. An RFQ should identify the contracting entity, production plant, available platform and any restrictions connected with brand channels or joint-venture operations. Tooling ownership, design ownership, certification applicants and the right to reuse or modify a platform should also be agreed in writing.
3. Yankon Lighting
Zhejiang Yankon Lighting Electrical Appliance Group Co., Ltd. is a listed general-lighting manufacturer with a long history in light-source production. Its official profile describes manufacturing bases in Shangyu, Zhejiang; Yingtan, Jiangxi; Xiamen, Fujian; and Jinzhai, Anhui. The company also reports a newer production base in Thailand.
Yankon’s portfolio covers lighting sources, residential lighting, commercial lighting, outdoor lighting, electrical products and smart lighting. That breadth makes it relevant to buyers considering a wider lighting assortment, but it does not identify which current bulb models are available for export or private-label supply.
Third-party LED bulb OEM or ODM service is not publicly confirmed in the reviewed company materials. Buyers should ask directly whether Yankon accepts private-label projects, supplies only its own brands in the target market, or works through another contract-manufacturing arrangement.
An effective RFQ should request the current bulb catalog, exporting legal entity, proposed factory, product revision and market-specific documentation. It should also confirm whether the quoted model is an active production platform and whether packaging, component or performance customization is available.
4. Xiamen Topstar Lighting
Xiamen Topstar Lighting Co., Ltd. is a lighting manufacturer based in Xiamen, Fujian. Unlike companies whose public portfolios emphasize complete lighting systems, Topstar visibly presents a substantial lamp and bulb range alongside luminaires and smart-lighting products.
Its product pages include plastic LED bulbs, filament bulbs, high-lumen bulbs, T-shape lamps and rechargeable or emergency formats. This range may suit importers and distributors building a mixed bulb assortment rather than purchasing only one conventional A-shape model.
Topstar publicly states that it provides OEM and ODM services. That makes it a plausible candidate for private-label packaging, changes to an existing product platform or more extensive product development. The boundary between OEM customization and a new ODM project should still be defined for each quotation.
Buyers should confirm which factory will manufacture the selected product, which changes are included in the quoted price and who owns any tooling or new design. Model-level reports, packaging files and approved samples should be linked to a controlled specification. The order agreement should require written approval before critical components or the product construction are changed.
5. FSL
Foshan Electrical and Lighting Co., Ltd., commonly known as FSL, is a listed lighting group. Company reporting describes activities across general lighting, automotive lighting and LED packaging, giving it a broader industrial structure than a bulb-only supplier.
Its general-lighting portfolio includes LED light sources and luminaires for residential, commercial, industrial, municipal and landscape applications. This suggests broad lighting-development and manufacturing capabilities, but global buyers should request a current export-market bulb catalog rather than infer model availability from the group’s overall business scope.
FSL discloses a multi-base manufacturing platform. The relevant procurement question is which legal entity, business division and factory would be responsible for the proposed bulb order.
Third-party bulb OEM or ODM service is not publicly confirmed in the reviewed company reporting. Buyers requiring private labeling should obtain direct written confirmation before treating FSL as an OEM candidate.
The RFQ should identify the export entity, production facility, exact model and available customization. It should also establish who owns the applicable test documents, whether the proposed label and packaging can be supported, and which division will handle quality claims and corrective actions.
6. New Lights
Haining Xin Guang Yuan Lighting Technology Co., Ltd., operating as New Lights, is a lighting manufacturer based in Haining, Zhejiang. New Lights is also the publisher of this article, so this profile should be read as a disclosed company description rather than an independent recommendation.
The company’s public range includes LED bulb product families such as LED filament bulbs, LED SMD bulbs and decorative bulb formats, together with additional lighting products. Its company pages describe factory and manufacturing capabilities in Haining.
New Lights publicly states that it supports OEM and ODM work. Its likely buyer group includes importers, distributors and private-label customers seeking conventional, decorative or filament bulb assortments, particularly where multiple bulb styles must be coordinated within one sourcing program.
That public positioning does not remove the need for model-level verification. Buyers should define the lamp shape, cap, voltage, electrical and photometric requirements, packaging, labeling and target market. Applicable reports or declarations should be checked against the exact model and manufacturing entity. An approved sample, agreed specification and component-change procedure should be established before mass production.
7. WELLMAX
WELLMAX, associated with Shanghai Wellmax Lighting Industry Co., Ltd., presents itself as an LED lighting company involved in product development, design, manufacturing and sales. Its public product range is notably bulb-oriented, covering A-shape bulbs, decorative bulbs, filament bulbs, high-wattage lamps and spot lamps.
This concentration may make WELLMAX relevant to distributors that need several bulb families but do not necessarily require a complete architectural or commercial-luminaire portfolio. Its public materials also discuss quality activities and customized solutions for different markets.
However, the exact factory ownership, production-site arrangement and contractual OEM or ODM scope should be confirmed. Public statements about customization do not automatically establish who designs a product, owns tooling, holds test documentation or accepts private-label responsibility.
Buyers should ask WELLMAX to name the legal contracting company and the factory proposed for the order. They should then match model-level documents, sample construction and packaging information to that entity. The RFQ should define permitted component changes, inspection requirements, batch traceability and how product failures or corrective actions will be handled.
8. TOSPO Lighting
Hengdian Group TOSPO Lighting Co., Ltd. is a listed integrated lighting manufacturer whose business covers lighting sources, luminaires, smart lighting and automotive lighting. Its manufacturing structure includes several specialized sites rather than a single undifferentiated factory.
TOSPO’s published manufacturing information associates Hengdian with indoor lighting and automotive-related operations, Ruijin with lighting sources and commodity luminaires, and Wuning with LED tube production. Other group operations support commercial lighting and manufacturing processes.
For bulb buyers, the relevant public category is “lighting sources,” but the reviewed materials do not provide enough current detail to assume that a particular LED bulb family is available for third-party sourcing.
External LED bulb OEM or ODM service is not publicly confirmed. A buyer should first ask whether the required bulb is an active product, whether private-label business is accepted and which subsidiary and plant would supply it.
Only after that clarification should the buyer compare price, documentation and samples. The RFQ should name the product, production site, exporting entity, certification applicant and responsibility for design or component changes.
9. MLS
MLS Co., Ltd. is a listed LED group headquartered in Zhongshan. Its business covers LED components, packaging, lighting applications and brand channels, giving it a different structure from a specialist private-label bulb factory.
MLS is also the owner of LEDVANCE, which operates a broad international lamp and lighting portfolio. That relationship confirms substantial group involvement in LED lamps, but it does not mean that a global buyer can automatically place a private-label bulb order directly with MLS or use a LEDVANCE product as an MLS OEM platform.
The group reports multiple production and R&D operations. Buyers therefore need to distinguish the listed parent company, manufacturing subsidiaries, export entities and branded sales organizations.
Direct third-party LED bulb OEM or ODM service is not publicly confirmed in the reviewed sources. MLS may be relevant to companies evaluating a large LED component and lighting ecosystem, but the commercial route must be established before technical comparison begins.
An initial inquiry should confirm whether external OEM projects are accepted, which entity would contract and manufacture, and whether the proposal concerns a group brand or private label. Channel restrictions, intellectual property and document ownership also require clarification.
10. OPPLE Lighting
OPPLE Lighting Co., Ltd. is a listed lighting brand and systems manufacturer headquartered in Shanghai. Its public portfolio spans light sources, residential and commercial luminaires, controls, electrical products and smart-lighting solutions.
Company reporting identifies manufacturing operations in China, including major activities in Wujiang or Suzhou and Zhongshan. This gives OPPLE a broad product and manufacturing platform, but its business is strongly associated with branded lighting and channel development rather than a publicly promoted third-party bulb OEM service.
A buyer should therefore not treat OPPLE’s manufacturing scale or bulb portfolio as proof that private-label orders are available. LED bulb OEM, ODM or private-label service is not publicly confirmed in the reviewed materials.
OPPLE may be relevant to distributors or project buyers interested in a recognized branded portfolio or wider lighting system. Buyers specifically seeking an own-brand bulb should first confirm whether that business model is accepted in the target market.
If it is, the next checks should cover the supplying entity, factory, current regional bulb catalog, channel policy, model-level documents and responsibility for after-sales claims.
What Buyers Should Compare Before Choosing

Legal entity and production site
Identify the company that will sign the contract, receive payment, issue export documents and manufacture the product. Group-level information should not be assumed to apply to every subsidiary or factory. For higher-risk programs, use a structured LED lighting supplier factory audit checklist after the document review.
Product fit
Compare the actual bulb form, lamp base, voltage, lumen target, color temperature, dimming method, thermal design and application. A broad lighting portfolio does not always mean strong capability in the required bulb category.
Model-specific evidence
Request applicable reports, certificates or declarations for the proposed model and target market. Check the applicant, manufacturer, factory, model number and product construction shown in the documents.

OEM and ODM boundaries
Clarify whether the project uses an existing platform, modifies an existing product or requires new development. Define ownership of tooling, design files, packaging, test reports, firmware and market registrations.
Sample-to-production control
The approved sample should be connected to a written specification and controlled bill of materials. Important component or construction changes should require buyer notification and approval. A consistent LED lighting sample evaluation checklist helps different suppliers respond to the same acceptance criteria.

Quality and corrective action
Agree on inspections, traceability, lot acceptance and the handling of non-conforming products. The required tests should match the bulb type, application and destination market.
RFQ Verification Checklist
Before contacting the shortlist, prepare a comparable OEM or ODM RFQ and ask every company to provide:
- Full legal company and payment-beneficiary names
- Proposed manufacturing-site name and address
- Exact product model and revision
- Electrical, photometric and mechanical specifications
- Target-market voltage, frequency and lamp base
- Applicable model-level reports or declarations
- Available product, packaging and labeling customization
- Tooling and intellectual-property terms
- Approved-sample procedure
- Critical-component and substitution policy
- Production inspection and traceability method
- Packaging files for approval
- Process for failures and corrective actions
- Written confirmation of assumptions excluded from the quotation
A price should not be treated as comparable unless it is tied to a defined model, factory, specification and evidence package.
How to Choose
Start by eliminating suppliers whose product range or business model does not fit the project. Then verify the legal entity, production site and public or directly confirmed OEM/ODM status.
Compare samples only after all candidates receive the same requirements. Record the approved construction and acceptance criteria rather than relying on an informal “sample approved” message.
For higher-risk or strategically important programs, follow document review with an independent or on-site factory audit. Begin production with a controlled order and defined inspection plan before increasing volume.
The appropriate supplier is not necessarily the largest company or the first name in a search result. It is the company that can demonstrate a repeatable fit for the buyer’s product, target market and supply arrangement.
Discuss an LED Bulb Project with New Lights
Buyers preparing an LED filament, SMD or decorative bulb RFQ may discuss an LED bulb project with New Lights by submitting the target market, product specification, packaging requirements and expected customization for review.
This is a commercial invitation from the publisher—not a conclusion that New Lights ranks above the other companies in this shortlist.
