In the production process of Outdoor LED Wall Lamp, how to effectively remove pollutants and oxide layers to ensure the reliability and stability of the product?
1. Pretreatment stage: strict material selection and cleaning
Everything starts with the selection of high-quality raw materials. We select metal materials with strong corrosion resistance and high thermal conductivity (such as aluminum alloy) as the main structural materials of outdoor wall lights. These materials themselves have good anti-oxidation properties. Before the materials enter the production line, we first carry out strict surface cleaning treatment, using ultrasonic cleaning technology combined with special cleaning agents to effectively remove pollutants such as grease and dust on the metal surface. The high-frequency vibration of ultrasound can penetrate into tiny gaps to ensure thorough cleaning and lay a good foundation for the subsequent removal of oxide layers. This step benefits from the precise control of our automated production line, which ensures the consistency and efficiency of cleaning.
2. Chemical etching and electrolytic polishing
For the fine oxide layers that may exist on the metal surface, we use a combination of chemical etching and electrolytic polishing. Chemical etching uses a specific acid and alkali solution to slightly corrode the metal surface under controlled conditions. While removing the surface oxide layer, it can also increase the surface roughness, which is beneficial to the adhesion of subsequent coatings or plating. Electrolytic polishing uses electrochemical principles to cause oxidation-reduction reactions on the metal surface under power-on conditions, so as to achieve smooth surfaces and remove tiny defects and oxides. These two technologies not only rely on precise chemical formulas, but also require strict current, voltage and time control. Our R&D team has continuously tested and optimized to ensure the optimization of the treatment effect, which is also a reflection of our technical strength.
3. Physical grinding and sandblasting
For LED wall lamp parts that require higher surface finish, we will use physical grinding or sandblasting. Physical grinding removes tiny surface defects and oxide layers through the mechanical action of fine abrasive particles to achieve a mirror or matte effect. Sandblasting uses high-pressure airflow to spray abrasive particles onto the surface of the workpiece to achieve surface cleaning and roughening. Both methods can effectively improve the uniformity and aesthetics of the surface, while enhancing the bonding strength between the coating and the substrate. Our factory is equipped with advanced grinding and sandblasting equipment, combined with rich operating experience, which can accurately control the degree of treatment to meet different design requirements.
4. Coating protection and surface treatment
After removing pollutants and oxide layers, we will apply a protective layer to the surface of the LED wall light to prevent re-oxidation and corrosion. This includes processes such as electrophoretic coating, anodizing or powder spraying. Electrophoretic coating can provide a uniform and dense coating to enhance corrosion resistance; anodizing can form a hard aluminum oxide film on the metal surface to further improve weather resistance; powder spraying meets diverse aesthetic and functional needs with its rich colors, wear resistance and environmental protection. 5. Quality control and continuous improvement
